A series of poly (ethylene glycol) hydroquinone ethers were synthesized from hydroquinone and dichloroethylene glycol with M = 2800 ~ 4500. These polyethers are a class of highly efficient, broad-spectrum GC fixatives that can be used for the efficient isolation and identification of organic mixtures.
