American Graffiti 美国风情画（1973年）
Ron Howard’s注1 look at teenage life in the early 60’s shows us that, while a lot of things have changed for teens today, many things still remain the same. During the summer after high school, a group of teenagers are all about to embark on[从事，着手] different paths in life, and some of them still aren’t quite sure what road they’re going to take. They engage in[参加] one last night of
cruising[慢速行车] around, listening to the radio, racing cars, and attempting to pick up girls. It’s an interesting look at bygone[过去的] days, but it really hits home[触及痛处] for teenagers who are trying to decide if they should stay close to home or go out on their own somewhere far away for college.

greatest horror films of all time, and it’s not hard to see why. Being a teenage girl who is mercilessly[残忍地]
picked on[捉弄，总是挑剔], having a psychotic[精神病的] mom, and possessing
telekinesis[心灵遥感] powers would be enough to drive anyone to the brink[边缘] of madness. The film might make the picked-on wish they had Carrie’s powers, and the
bullies[以强凌弱者] who pick on the weak think twice about doing so.

Most films about high school life focus more on the point-of-view of the male student. This film focuses on the lives of two teenage girls who don’t really fit
in[融入（群体）], and it stars Scarlett Johansson, before she was the sensation[引起轰动的人或事] she is today, and Thora Birch, who had starred in the film American Beauty. The film takes place during the summer after they graduate. The girls experience a very strange summer involving playing a prank[恶作剧] on a lonely man named Seymour, played by Steve Buscemi, that leads them to develop a friendship with him. This friendship eventually results in a lot of problems for Enid (Birch’s character), who becomes more and more alienated[疏远] from her friend Rebecca (Johansson’s character). The film is great because it has a very realistic ending, with Enid still not sure what she’s going to do with her life. It’s a great life lesson: No matter how horrible high school seemed, life won’t necessarily be any better afterwards.

are very entertaining and fun to watch. You’ve got singing, dancing, car races, and a great makeover[彻底改变] at the end. What more could you want?

Rebel Without a Cause 无因的反叛（1955年）
James Dean注2 became the hero of a generation of teenagers in this film, which attempted to show the growing differences between the youth and adults of the time. It portrays the difficulties some teenagers face with quarrelling parents, bullies, and the reckless[鲁莽的] behavior that can result from dealing with such issues. The film was ahead of its time, portraying a high school kid drinking underage, getting arrested[逮捕] and pursued[追捕] by police, and seeing a friend get shot and killed. This film made James Dean the legend and icon he is today.
