Glutathione S-transferase (GST) is an important detoxification system in vivo. The change of its expression level can cause non-classical multidrug resistance in leukemia cells. This article reviews the relationship between GST expression and classical multidrug resistance and the relationship between genotype deletion and drug resistance.
