90年代初,上海一家出版社约我主编一部《现代作家书信集珍》。接受任务后,我就向相识和不相识的作家广为组稿(信),得到作家们的热情支持,全国各地和海外都有作家纷纷提供作家书信。上海作家陈村(杨遗华)向我提供了多位作家写给他的信,有一封就是倪慧玲写给他的。根据和出版社商定的《现代作家书信集珍》的编辑体例,要求作家在提供书信的同时,还需对每封书信有个“说法”,或介绍其背景,或作必要的注释,或有感而发说些其它。陈村提供的这封信当然也不例外。 整整花去两年时间,一百多万字的《现代作家书信集珍》书稿总算送到出版社去了。但过了不久即被告知,倪慧玲写给陈村的那封信被抽下来了。问被抽
In the early 90s, a publishing house in Shanghai was the one in which I edited a book called Letters from Modern Writers. After accepting the assignment, I made extensive contributions (letters) to acquaintances and strangers, received the enthusiastic support of writers, and writers from all over the country and overseas wrote letters to writers. Shanghai writer Chen Cun (Yang Yuhua) provided me with letters written by many writers, and one was given to him by Ni Huiling. According to the editorial style agreed with Publishing House, “Modern Letters from Writers of Modern Writings”, writers are required to provide an explanation of each letter as well as a description of the background or comment as necessary, or Sense and say something else. The letter provided by Chen Cun is no exception. A full two years, more than one million words of “modern writer Letters Jane” manuscript finally sent to the press. Shortly afterwards, however, it was told that the letter that Ni Huiling wrote to Chen Cun was taken down. Asked to be drawn
