  Closer sino-African relations have encouraged more Chinese enterprises to invest in African countries.Statistics show that more than 2,000 Chinese enterprises had invested in the continent by 2012.
  On January 15, 2014, the China Africa Industrial Forum released the list of the Top 100 Recommendable Chinese Enterprises for Africa 2013. The 100 enterprises were selected based on each enterprise’s social responsibility, contribution to the development of respective stationed countries and efforts of protecting local environment and culture. This is the third successive year for the forum, which was established under the guidance of State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, to release such a list.
