Since the 1970s, due to the rapid development of very large-scale integrated circuits, microelectronic processors and computer technologies, some developed capitalist countries have been able to mass-produce robots for practical use and the craze for using robots has emerged. According to the “Predictor” report released by the U.S. Predicting Robot Market, the number of U.S. robots is as large as 1,000 in 1972, 5,000 in 1980 and 31,500 in 1985. Japan’s robot ownership number is far ahead. The materials provided by the American Robotics Society show that the number of robotics in Japan in 1981 had reached 14,200 and in 1985 no fewer than 100,000.
