Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy and adverse reactions of mosapride combined with polyethylene glycol electrolyte in the colonoscopy of elderly patients. Methods: 200 elderly patients (> 60 years old) who underwent colonic microscopy in our hospital from January 2013 to January 2015 were selected as the research object. Randomly divided into experimental group and control group, each 100 cases. In the experimental group, Mosapride combined with polyethylene glycol electrolyte was used to clean the intestinal tract. In the control group, only the polyethylene glycol electrolyte was used to clean the intestinal tract. The intestinal cleanliness and adverse reactions of the two groups were analyzed and compared. Results: There was no significant difference in intestinal cleanliness between the experimental group and the control group (98.0% vs 94%, P> 0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group (26.0%) was lower than that in the control group (52.0% , P <0.01, with statistical difference. Conclusion: Mosapride combined with polyethylene glycol electrolyte for elderly patients with colonoscopy for intestinal clean preparation can reduce adverse reactions, while not reducing the efficacy, is a more safe and effective treatment, which can be popularized in clinical application.
