乙烯利催熟机理乙烯利的有效成分为2-氯乙基膦酸(CICH_2 CH_2 PO_3 H_2)。它被植物吸收后,在植物细胞中PH值大于4的情况下,即分解出乙烯,乙烯可以增加植物的呼吸强度,促进蛋白质和核酸的合成,提高酶的活性,增加代谢产物的积累,推动着棉铃中一系列的生理活动,起到催熟和诱发棉叶脱落的作用。但是,乙烯利的催熟机理,现在还不完全清楚,有待继续研究。
