Objective To understand the health status of lead workers in Zhangzhou and provide the basis for effective protection measures. Methods Occupational health examination was conducted on 263 lead workers and 112 management and logistics staff in 3 battery factories. The lead concentration in workplace air was also monitored. Results The lead concentrations in the air of the workshop were monitored at a total of 43 points and 22 points were exceeded. The highest concentration of lead smoke in the lead-melting workshop reached 2.89 mg / m3, exceeding the standard of 96.3 times. Blood lead levels were measured for 263 lead workers with a maximum of 2.49 mg / L. Lead workers had headache, dizziness, insomnia, fatigue, abdominal pain and other symptoms were significantly higher than the control group (P <0.05), an abnormal blood lead concentration was 22.86%. Conclusion Lead levels in lead workers and lead concentrations in the workplace are excessive. Enterprises should improve working conditions, improve production techniques and enhance workers’ health protection.
