A total of 858 Shanghai students aged from 6 to 9 were selected as subjects. The self-assessment and his questionnaire were used to explore the relationship between the gender roles of the participants and their mothers. The results showed that: (1) the highest number of undifferentiated students and their lower social ability than the other two types; (2) The gender role types played a mediating role in mothers ’rejection of punishment to predict students’ bullying and social ability: mothers refused to punish the positive Undifferentiated students are predicted to be bullied and negatively predicted for their social ability; mothers who refuse to punish unpredictable bullying and social skills are not predictable. Undifferentiated individuals are motivated to be penalized by their mothers as a risk factor for school adaptation.
