研究中式点心名称的翻译有助于我们更好地向外国人介绍中国的特色饮食。本文分析了《汉西分类词典》中收录的107个中式点心名称的翻译技巧并对其进行统计,发现直译法使用最频繁,顺应法和描述法次之,另外必要时也采取了增译法、减译法。我们同时还甄别了仿译法和借译法的使用,但这两种技巧的成功应用是需要建立在所涉及的点心有一定的知名度和传播范围大的基础上的。
Studying the translation of Chinese dim sum names helps us to better introduce Chinese specialties to foreigners. This paper analyzes and translates the translation techniques of 107 Chinese dim sum names collected in the Chinese-Chinese Classification Dictionary and finds that the literal translation method is the most frequently used, followed by adaptive and descriptive methods, and additionally, if necessary, , Subtraction method. We have also scrutinized the use of copyrighted and borrowed interpretations, but the successful application of these two techniques needs to be based on a certain degree of popularity and scope of spread of the dim sum involved.
