Objective To investigate the effect of severe hypertensive preeclampsia with severe umbilical cord blood flow on pregnancy outcomes. Methods Fifty patients with chronic hypertension and preeclampsia were enrolled in our study. Fifty pregnant women without pregnancy complications who were treated in the same period were selected as the control group. The pregnancy outcomes of the two groups of pregnant women were retrospectively analyzed. Results In the study group, the Apgar score at 1 minute was significantly lower than that in the control group. The incidence of fetal growth restriction and perinatal mortality were significantly higher in the study group than in the control group. The incidence of maternal ascites and cesarean section were significantly higher than those in the control group There was statistical significance (P <0.05). Conclusion Umbilical cord blood flow indicates that the fetus has a serious hypoxia, which will increase the unfavorable risk of perinatal outcome. At this time, the pregnancy should be terminated in time to improve the pregnancy outcome.
