Objective: To observe the effect of different frequencies of neuromuscular electrical stimulation on stroke dysphagia. Methods: Eighty patients with acute dysphagia after stroke were randomly divided into 2 groups (low-frequency stimulation group and high-frequency stimulation group). Each group received routine medication and swallowing training. Based on this, Respectively, plus 30Hz and 80Hz frequency of neuromuscular stimulation, for a period of 3 weeks. Before and after treatment, the Japanese Kubota drinking water experiments to evaluate the swallowing function of patients into the group. Results: The positive rate of high frequency treatment (80Hz) was significantly higher than that of low frequency (30Hz) (P <0.001). Conclusions: High-frequency neuromuscular stimulation is superior to low-frequency treatment in treating post-stroke dysphagia.
