As we all know, there are two well-known iron ore distribution in Anshan area. One is the Cherry Orchard belt north-west-westward and the other is the East Anshan ore belt, which extends roughly in the east-west direction. These two iron ore belts used to be divided into the Cherry Pond Group of the Archaelogical Anshan Group, and people rarely pay attention to whether there are still more stratigraphic units in the Anshan region than the Cherry Pond Group. Since the iron-rich battle in 1975, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Anshan Iron and Steel Company and Anshan Iron and Steel Geological Company on the Anshan area stratigraphy, tectonics and mixed rock and other basic geological issues done a lot of work, made a lot of achievements, made some observations. Concerning the comparison of the division of the two ore belts in Anshan, so far the controversies have been relatively large with several views and understandings.
