菲律宾是一个语言多样化的国家,约有170多种语言。2009年,菲律宾开始建立基于母语的多语教学制度,并且颁布了许多法律作为政策支撑。在实施基于母语的多语教学过程中,公立学校影响了约1600万名学生,培训了约20万名教师,并且开发了19种语言教材。在此之前,菲律宾教育存在很多问题,比如幼儿教育阶段仅以英语和菲律宾语为主要教学语言;基础教育阶段存在着延迟入学、辍学率高以及缺乏良好的教育成
The Philippines is a language diversified country with more than 170 languages. In 2009, the Philippines began to establish a mother tongue-based multilingual teaching system and promulgated many laws as its policy support. In implementing mother tongue-based multilingual teaching, public schools affected about 16 million students, trained about 200,000 teachers, and developed 19 language teaching materials. Prior to this, there were many problems with education in the Philippines, such as early childhood education using only English and Filipino as the main language of instruction; there were delays in basic education, high drop-out rates and lack of good education
