皮带传动是机械系统中应用极为广泛的一种方式。其品种之多、数量之大是可想而知的。尽管需要量大、品种多,但传统习惯上对皮带轮的设计和制造都是分散进行的。大、中、小企业及乡镇企业所需要的皮带轮,无论批量还是单件的,都是自己设计、自己制造。针对这一不合理情况,有必要对皮带轮的直径及结构进行系列化、标准化设计,进而实行专业化生产。这样作既有必要性,又有可能性,一定会取得较大的社会经济效益。一、必要性 (1)现实情况表明,在机械设计过程中,凡采用了皮带传动,就必然要设计计算皮带轮、绘制皮带轮零件图、做木模等等。实行系列化、标准化后,设计时只需通过手册选用标准号,这样既能减少设计时间,又能降低消耗。
