作为新时期情节理论的集大成者,希拉里·丹尼伯格为情节研究的复兴做出了突出的贡献。本文认为,丹尼伯格的情节理论可大致归纳为三个方面:1)情节的三种建构方式——认知、本体和空间;2)情节的两大基本类型——巧合与反事实;3)情节的两个发展方向——聚合和离散。此外,她还从历时角度审视了情节的建构方式、基本类型和发展方向在不同时期、不同文类中的差异与变迁。在“重话语,轻故事”的研究语境下,丹尼伯格的情节理论有力地推动了叙事学的向前发展,具有一定的积极意义。
As a master of plot theory in the new era, Hilary Danneberg made outstanding contributions to the revival of plot research. This thesis argues that Dannberg’s plot theory can be roughly summarized into three aspects: 1) three ways of construction of plot - cognition, ontology and space; 2) two basic types of plot - coincidence and counterfactual; 3) The two development directions of the plot - aggregation and dispersion. In addition, she also examined from the diachronic perspective the way of plot construction, the basic types and development direction in different periods, differences and changes in different genres. Under the research context of “emphasizing discourse and light story”, Dannberg’s episodic theory strongly promotes the development of narratology and has certain positive significance.
