邓小平同志讲,科学技术是第一生产力。科技图书是传播、推广科学技术,发挥科技作为第一生产力作用的一个重要方面。北大作为一所重点综合大学,理科有数理化、生命科学、计算机等十多个院系,还有许多研究所和研究中心。我们历来十分重视依托北大的这种学科优势,出版反映北大学术水平的理科教材和学术著作,力图把北大的学科优势转化为我社的出版优势。概括起来讲,我们在出版理科图书方面,主要开展了以下四个方面的工作:一、重视教材出版,形成北大版教材多学科、高水平的特色,为培养一流人才服务 Comrade Deng Xiaoping said that science and technology are primary productive forces.
