杜夫海纳是现象学文艺美学的代表人物之一,他继承了胡塞尔现象学哲学的基本理论,并以此为基础建构自己的文学批评观。现象学哲学的要点在于悬置我们由经验世界所得到的知识而面对现象进行直观本质的还原。这种还原肯定了现象作为本质的自明性,同时也要求主体对客体进行本质直觉。杜夫海纳敏锐地把握了其中的关键,试图建立自己超越主—客二分的文学批评观。杜夫海纳对社会学批评与实证批评进行了分析,认为二者都是走向了一个极端,科学的文学批评应该是建立在现象学基础上的文学批评。
Dufrenne is one of the representatives of phenomenological literary aesthetics. He inherits the basic theory of phenomenology of Husserl and constructs his own view of literary criticism. The key point of phenomenological philosophy lies in suspending the knowledge we obtain from the experience world and restoring the intuitive essence of the phenomenon. This reduction affirms the phenomenon as an essential self-evidentness, and also requires the subject to essentially instinct the object. Dufrenne keenly grasped the key points in his attempt to establish his own view of literary criticism that transcends the subject-subject dichotomy. Dufrenne analysis of sociological criticism and empirical criticism, that both are toward an extreme, scientific literary criticism should be based on the phenomenology of the literary criticism.
