The project includes a design and construction system, a parametric structural shell designed for remote areas. It explores how to optimize the design of single-layer enclosures using a variety of different digital software platforms and how to output a series of tailor-made connectors for direct digital production. As customization focuses primarily on the joint structure, it is possible to use structural components of standard size and local resources. By embedding assembly information into physical contacts, the system has the ability to simplify the construction of complex housings as long as workers have basic construction skills.
