Taixing Reducer Factory of Jiangsu Province is a medium-sized enterprise producing serialized speed reducers, founded in 1984. The township-owned enterprise that started from RMB 2,000 this year, after seven years of arduous pioneering, has become a company with 15 million yuan in fixed assets and 1,050 employees. It can produce 10 series, more than 300 models, nearly 10,000 specifications of reducer State secondary enterprises. In 1991, the plant achieved a production value of 32 million yuan, sales of 33 million yuan, and profits and taxes of 6.507 million yuan, an increase of 53.9%, 50.55% and 51.05% respectively over the previous year. The plant’s product range, specifications and models, high output tax rate, and corporate management are among the best in the country. Taixing Reducer Factory has achieved such remarkable results in just a few short years, mainly by insisting on reform as its driving force, focusing on strengthening enterprise management, and promoting management through reforms.
