日野菜由日本引进,以淹制咸菜为主,主要食取根茎。我县从1997年开始种植,现已以年产1000t的产品出口日本。日野菜生长最低温度10℃,苗期能忍耐2℃低温,最适生长温度18℃～25℃,超过30℃叶片生长加快,根茎生长受阻。播种至出苗2～3天,该蔬菜早春播种生长期55～60天,夏季50天左右,株高50～60cm,根茎长20cm,根茎粗直径2.5～3cm。地上部根茎为粉红色,
