漫瀚调民歌是在明末清初“走西口”移民潮的历史背景下,蒙汉人民在政治、经济、文化和生活习俗等各方面相互影响、相互交流、相互融合而产生的一种独特的民间歌种。漫瀚调民歌诞生于内蒙古准格尔旗,草原文化的滋养赋予了它独特的音乐风格,在鄂尔多斯蒙古族短调的基础上添了汉词,在风格上也受到了晋、陕等地汉族民间小调的影响。漫瀚调民歌腔调潇洒、豪放,旋律朴实、新颖、恬静舒展,曲调简洁明快,在长期的发展过程中,逐步衍生出了二人台、漫瀚剧等艺术形式。漫瀚调民歌是黄河文化与草原文化、农耕文化与游牧文化的融合,它既拓展了黄河文化的影响范围,又丰富了草原文化的内在价值;既体现了农耕文化的朴实细腻,又体现了游牧文化的自由豪放,其艺术内涵还有待我们进一步挖掘、学习、继承和发展。
