性别差异是影响语言学习的重要因素之一。本研究采用定量的研究方法探讨了性别差异对小学英语学习效果的影响。本文以新疆伊宁市察布查尔县某小学四年级的58名学生为对象进行了英语水平测试,运用SPSS17.0对男女生学习水平进行了独立样本t检验,发现:(1)男女生在英语总分上存在显著性差异:t=2.044,p=0.046;(2)男女生在英语基础知识记忆方面存在显著性差异:t=-2.024,p=0.050;(3)男女生在英语句型结构的理解方面具有显著性差异:t=-2.031,p=0.047;(4)男女生在阅读理解方面不存在显著差异。其p值均大:0.05。本研究旨在唤醒小学英语教师对性别差异意识的关注。
Gender differences affect language learning is one of the important factors. This study explores the impact of gender differences on primary English learning by using quantitative methods. In this paper, 58 students from the fourth grade of a primary school in Chaqqar County, Yining City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region were tested for English proficiency. An SPSS17.0 independent sample t-test was conducted on the learning levels of boys and girls. The results showed that: (1) There was a significant difference in the total score of English: t = 2.044, p = 0.046; (2) boys and girls had significant differences in English basic memory: t = -2.024, p = 0.050; There was a significant difference in sentence structure understanding: t = -2.031, p = 0.047; (4) There was no significant difference between boys and girls in reading comprehension. The p value is large: 0.05. The purpose of this study is to awaken elementary English teachers’ attention to gender differences.
