目前发现20多种与果实发育有关的酶和蛋白,其中14种mRNA在果实成熟过程中增加,8种受乙烯诱导,相关的基因已被克隆、测序并在染色体上定位.利用反义技术抑制这些酶和蛋白的表达,一方面可研究它们在果实成熟过程中的作用,另一方面从分子水平上解决了番茄保鲜问题.已将7种反义基因导入番茄,反义果实在离体条件下可保鲜90~120d.
Up to now, more than 20 kinds of enzymes and proteins related to fruit development have been found. Among them, 14 mRNAs increase during fruit maturation, 8 are induced by ethylene and related genes have been cloned, sequenced and mapped on chromosomes. The use of antisense technology to inhibit the expression of these enzymes and proteins, on the one hand they can study the role of the process of fruit ripening, on the other hand from the molecular level to solve the problem of tomato preservation. Seven kinds of antisense genes have been introduced into tomato. Antisense fruits can be stored for 90 ~ 120d under in vitro conditions.
