On the geographical map of China, Helan Mountain is one of the rare southwestern-northeasterly mountain ranges in China and an important climate and vegetation dividing line in western China. Helan Mountain, created by 2.4 billion years of life history, carries more than half of the Earth’s geological record. Experts say Helan Mountain is a very valuable water catchment mountain in the northern desert of China and a biological mountain corridor connecting the Yinshan Mountains, the Greater Hinggan Mountains to Siberia in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It is also an extremely important mountain for preserving the information of the Quaternary environmental changes in northern China. Few have world-class significance
