2009年5月26日上午11时,著名漫画家、中国美术馆研究馆员、第二、六、七、八届全国政协委员丁聪因病医治无效,在北京逝世,享年93岁。丁聪,笔名小丁,我国著名的漫画家和美术设计家,籍贯上海,汉族,逝世前为国家一级美术师,中国美术馆研究馆员。他曾为第一届全国政协列席代表,第二、六、七、八届委员兼教科文委委员,全国青联常务委员兼副秘书长,民盟中央委员,中国美术家协会理事兼漫画艺委会主任,中国摄影学会副主席等。为此,本刊特刊发中国美术馆办公室主任吴琼和典藏部副主任裴建国撰写的文章,以纪念丁聪先生。
At 11 am on May 26, 2009, Ding Cong, a famous cartoonist and research librarian of the China Art Museum, and member of the CPPCC National Committee for the second, sixth, seventh and eighth sessions of the CPPCC National Committee, died of an illness at the age of 93 in Beijing. Ding Cong, pen name Ding, China’s famous cartoonist and art designer, native Shanghai, Han nationality, before the death of a national artist, National Art Museum of China study librarian. He has served as the first CPPCC National Committee members, the second, sixth, seventh and eighth members and members of the UNESCO, the All-China Youth Federation Standing Committee and Deputy Secretary-General, the Central Committee of the NLD, the Chinese Artists Association and comics Commission, China Photographic Society vice chairman and so on. To this end, we published a special article by Wu Qiong, director of the office of the National Art Museum of China, and Pei Jianguo, deputy director of the Department of Collection, in commemoration of Mr. Ding Cong.
