Since nalidixic acid was discovered in 1962, dozens of quinolones have been developed and a number of new quinolones are under development. As an antibacterial second only to cephalosporin antibiotics, its development rate far exceeds the antibiotic drugs. Quinolones are so rapidly developing because of their increasing antibacterial spectrum and their antimicrobial activity. Its role of anti-gram-negative bacilli strong, and the lack of
