The Chicago Renaissance of Blacks, which is of great importance in the history of American Afro-American literature, has few academic books available. In this sense, the monograph by Professor R. Baxter Miller of the University of Georgia “on the ruins of modernity - Wright’s New Chicago Renaissance to Faye ”(2012) and Steven Tracey at the University of Massachusetts, author of The Chicago Black Renaissance Writer (2011), are pioneers in this area of research. These two books comprehensively explored the literary achievements made by the Black Renaissance in Chicago, redefined the related concepts of the black Renaissance in Chicago and put forward some ideas and research methods that are quite innovative and in line with the future direction of academic development.
