本文评述了当前西方修辞学中亚里士多德主义传统的四种修辞研究趋势，其中每一种趋势的研究对象都可以看作是被以前的学者所忽视的。这包括模糊表达法─—一种语法特征，修辞方法─—反复的语法形式，情感证据及礼貌。作者认为，每种情况所涉及的学者都能阐明一个看似有理的事实：即这些被忽视的现象说明了一些有趣的东西，它们与具体的科学问题相关，总体上同时也与论辩相关。
This article reviews the ten rhetorical trends in Aristotelian tradition in contemporary Western rhetoric. The study of each trend can be viewed as neglected by previous scholars. This includes vague expressions - a grammatical feature, a rhetorical method - repeated grammatical forms, emotional evidence, and courtesy. The author believes that the scholars involved in each case can clarify a seemingly plausible fact: these neglected phenomena illustrate some interesting things, which are related to specific scientific issues and generally related to arguments as well.
