On September 12, 2004, as a B-class surveyor for International Road Race, I, at the invitation of the Xiamen International Marathon Organizing Committee, chaired the review of the entire line of the International Marathon held on March 26, 2005. 7 o’clock, the review began! I am riding a bike, in front of a flashing police car clear the road, behind a working car sweep. My car’s front axle is fitted with a dedicated counter approved by IAAF and specially calibrated before use. Even tires with both old and new models and specifications have been rigorously tested and measured to be precise. We can rest assured that my riding a smooth technology is not bad, will not draw dragons and bumps, of course, all with the full cooperation of the police in Xiamen are inseparable, no one along the way we are fighting for the road, there is no yellow light. Police cars in accordance with our best working speed (speed of about ten kilometers) road, I carefully behind the ride, occasionally encountered ditch, I have to brake to prevent the tire from leaving the ground caused by the uncertainty of the distance. Behind every 1 km of the work car should be measured at my point on the first clearance of the ground, and then brush paint on the painting point. Do not look at 42,195 meters marathon can not be considered too long, but along the way we have to brush a lot of points, in addition to the starting point, halfway point, the end point, every 1 km kilometer, every 5 km multiples drink points, 5 km is the amount of water used to cool an athlete (ie 7.5, 12.5, 17.5 km ...), so basically it takes 10 minutes to average 1 km. In order to measure accurately, all of our surveyed members have to solve any problems, and they must be completed after a certain point has been drawn. The line we measured, the best marathon runners just finished running in just over 2 hours, and our measurements took nine hours to come to an end until 4pm. During this period, even the lunch took only a very short period of time. I did not even have the time to breathe. As for the picturesque autumn scenery, I did not seem to feel it. I did not even see it at all. Maybe someone would say that it is hard to measure the distance between the roads? Yes, if the car is rough for an hour, the problem can be solved. However, this is a big issue involving the credibility of the accuracy of the world record , It was not that simple! For this reason, I commissioned the Asian Development Center in 1994 at IAAF Beijing for a total of 10 days. Below, I would like to know some of the marathon race route selection and measurement of some common sense to write out, for the majority of readers reference.
