江苏省淮阴市博物馆收藏了潘天寿的七幅画,都是1944年或1945年在重庆时所作。受画人为徐伯璞蔡铭竹夫妇。徐伯璞,山东肥城人,早年赴日留学,归国后从事教育,曾任中学校长、教育部科长、国立戏剧专科学校校长职务。一生酷爱艺术、擅书画,现虽已八十七岁高龄,仍醉心丹青,作画不息。蔡铭竹女士(1909—1980),广东番禺人,早年赴日留学,终生从事小学教育。徐伯璞早在三十年代初期就和潘天寿相识,抗战时又聚首雾都,故友重逢,分外高兴。时潘天寿在美术教育委员会任职,为避日机轰炸,移居乡村,徐伯璞亦在青木关安家。工作之余,潘天寿(未带家居)常到徐家一起欣赏书画,谈古论今,或乘兴作画。有时,徐伯璞也到潘天寿处谈心。经过四十多 Huaiyin City, Jiangsu Province Museum collection of Pan Tianshou’s seven paintings, all made in 1944 or 1945 in Chongqing.
