随着乡镇企业的发展,小城镇也迅速崛起,进入1990年以来,全国更是兴起了一股建设小城镇的热潮。到1999年,小城镇已近6万多个,建制镇已从1978年的2173个发展到目前的1.8万个,增长了7倍多。党的十五届三中全会《决定》中指出:“发展小城镇,是带动农村经济和社会发展的一个大战略”。这一决策,充分肯定了小城镇建设的地位和意义,对加速农村小城镇的建设,必将产生深远影响。 With the development of township and village enterprises, small towns have also risen rapidly.
