顿号(、)与逗号(,)各有各的用法。‘逗号表示一句话中间的停顿。顿号表示话中间并列的语彙(包括作用跟并列的语汇相仿的并列的短语、并列的分句)之间的停顿。’(见出版总署公佈的‘标点符号用法’)这是比较容易区别的。但是,有时逗号也用来表示一句话中间并列语汇或并列短语、并列分句之间的停顿,这么一来,问题就比较複杂了。究竟什么地方该用顿号隔开,什么地方该用逗号隔开呢?现在我把学习所得的一点体会大略说一说,供大家参考,并请指正。 [1]一系列的并列短语或分句在一个完整的句子
The comma (,) and comma (,) each have their own usage. The comma indicates a pause in the middle of a sentence. The comma represents the pauses between the words in the middle of the speech (including the side-by-side phrases that function in parallel with the paratactic ones). (See ’Punctuation Usage’ published by the General Administration of Press and Publication.) This is easier to tell. However, sometimes the comma is also used to indicate a middle-of-sentence or side-by-side phrase in a sentence. What place should be separated by comma, where to separate it with a comma?
