Objective To understand the prevalence of diabetes in Jino adults. Methods From February to April 2012, a questionnaire survey of adults aged 18-75 years old in Jinuo of Yunnan Province and diabetes mellitus based on oral glucose tolerance test were conducted. A total of 5577 people completed the questionnaire, physical examination and blood sample examination. All data were included analysis. In 1999 the WHO diagnostic criteria for diabetes to determine diabetes, abnormal glucose regulation. According to the 2010 national population gender age composition as the standard population, using the direct method of calculating the standardization rate. Results The total population of Jino [5577 (40.1 ± 13.2) years), male (2649, 18-75 years, mean 39.9 ± 13.6 years) and female (2928, 18-75 years, mean 40.2 ± 12.9) years of standardization of diabetes were 6.8%, 9.4% and 4.1%. In the newly diagnosed diabetic patients, the fasting blood glucose ≥7.0 mmol / L accounted for 38.4%, simple blood glucose ≥11.1 mmol / L accounted for 39.8%, both were elevated 21.8%. The general population, male and female pre-diabetes standardization rates were 19.6%, 21.9% and 17.5%. In pre-diabetic patients, 42.6% of impaired fasting glucose alone, 43.8% of impaired glucose tolerance, and 13.6% of patients with impaired fasting and postprandial insults. Men, age, hypertension, dyslipidemia, central obesity, alcohol consumption are independent risk factors for diabetes and pre-diabetes. Conclusion The prevalence of diabetes and pre-diabetes in men is significantly higher than that in women. Jino adults have a higher proportion of impaired fasting glucose.
