概念隐喻理论以已知认识未知,寓抽象于具体,是人类语言发展和变化的重要方式之一。鉴于目前高职英语词汇教学低效的局面,概念隐喻理论为英语词汇教学提供了新的动力。分析了概念隐喻应用于英语词汇教学的理论基础,对词汇教学中一词多义、扩展词语内涵、理解语言的运用,从而培养学生隐喻思维具有指导意义。概念隐喻的知识弥补了传统词汇教学的不足,是传统英语词汇学习的重要补充。
Conceptual metaphor theory known to know the unknown, abstracting concrete in the specific language is one of the important ways of language development and change. In view of the current situation of ineffective teaching of English vocabulary in vocational colleges, conceptual metaphor theory provides a new impetus to English vocabulary teaching. This paper analyzes the theoretical basis of the application of conceptual metaphor to English vocabulary teaching. It has the guiding significance for polysemy in vocabulary teaching, expanding the connotation of words and understanding the use of language. The knowledge of conceptual metaphor makes up for the deficiency of traditional vocabulary teaching and is an important complement to traditional English vocabulary learning.
