Allison Aubrey: College students usually sleep very late and sleep irregularly. Athletes in college seem to be no exception. Stanford University sleep researcher Shelley Horse conducted a study of a group of rugby players at the university. She found that even if rugby players feel that their sleep is adequate, there will be unexpected daytime fatigue at the beginning of the season. She would like to know: If each athlete adds two or three hours of sleep every night, how does this affect their performance?
