每天,上海人的家庭主妇们早晨初次见面,经常会有这样的问候,“今朝侬小菜场跑过?”上海人把青菜萝卜、鸡鸭鱼等荤蔬统统称为小菜,把到菜场去买菜,称为跑小菜场。食用住行,食,显然是件一见面就值得关切的重大事情。那么,上海的小菜场究竟诞生于何时?小菜场和大上海间又有怎样的密切关系?小小的菜篮又如何折射出社会变迁?
