Pulsed MIG welding is a low average input current welding method, suitable for a variety of metals all-round welding, welding more efficient, with a wide range of applications. In this paper, the types, characteristics and forming conditions of droplet transfer in MIG welding are analyzed. A variety of welding current waveforms for controlling the droplet transfer are introduced. An experiment is carried out to test the post-medium wave current welding of carbon steel and aluminum alloy. The experimental results show that the post-median wave is a suitable welding current control waveform. The welding process is stable. The collected real-time current and voltage signals are regular. The arc has soft sound and less spatter, and the weld formation is better.
