Objective: To study the effects of glycosides of Ranunculus japonicus on the tension of isolated thoracic aorta in isolated frog hearts and rats. Methods: The isolated frog heart was used to observe the effect of total buttercup glycosides on the basic tension of the frog heart and isoproterenol-induced cardiac contractility. The rat aortic rings were prepared and the effects of the total glycosides of ranunculus on the basic tension, Norepinephrine induces aortic ring contraction and isoproterenol - induced aortic ring relaxation. Results: The total glucosides of 1μg / mL and 10μg / mL of Ranunculus could reduce the basal tension of isolated frog hearts and inhibit the contraction of frog hearts induced by isoproterenol, but had no effect on the heart rate; 1mg / mL and 2mg / mL of buttercup Total glycosides had no effect on the basic tension of the aortic ring and isoproterenol-induced aortic ring relaxation; 2 mg / mL of buttercup total glycoside significantly antagonized the contraction of the aortic rings induced by noradrenaline, (P <0.01), there was no significant difference compared with the phentolamine group (P> 0.05); 1 mg / mL of buttercup glycosides also antagonized norepinephrine-induced contraction of the vascular rings However, there was no significant difference between the two groups (P> 0.05). Conclusion: Ranunculus japonicus glycosides can inhibit isoprenaline-induced contraction of the frog heart; Ranunculus total glycosides inhibit norepinephrine-induced contraction of the thoracic aorta in rats, but the basic tension of aortic rings and isoproterenol Superoxide induced diastolic no effect.
