我这次的参展作品“古歌砖”是一件专门为威尼斯双年展创作的互动装置作品。是我在中国社会运用电视、报纸、互联网等各类媒体,向各界人士征集数千个口号、格言、语录、警句、成语、社会热词、网络流行语等简短的文字词句,它们聚集之后整体而客观地反映中国社会生活现实以及文化。将这些文字词句用谷歌直接翻译后,再由我将中英文对照的文字,书写成书法,成为作品创作的基本素材,在这里运用谷歌来直译后通过书法来转化是作品的关键,
My current exhibition “Ancient Songs and Bricks” is an interactive installation created exclusively for the Venice Biennale. It is my use of various media such as television, newspapers and the Internet in Chinese society to solicit brief short texts of thousands of slogans, motto, quotations, aphorisms, idioms, social terms, online buzzwords, etc. from all walks of life. While objectively reflecting the reality of Chinese social life and culture. After these words and phrases are directly translated by Google, and then I translate the Chinese and English text into Chinese calligraphy and become the basic material for the creation of works, it is the key for the works to be translated through calligraphy by Google here.
