Objective To study the expression of CD25, HLA-DR in peripheral blood and synovial fluid lymphocytes of patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and to explore its role in the pathogenesis of RA. Methods Flow cytometry was used to detect the expression of CD25, HLA-DR in peripheral blood and synovial fluid lymphocytes of RA patients. A normal control group was established. Results The expression of CD25 T lymphocytes and B lymphocytes in peripheral blood of RA patients was significantly higher than that of the normal controls (P <0.01). The expression of CD25 B lymphocytes and HLA-DR expressing T lymphocytes in synovial fluid and B lymphocytes, compared with the normal control group was also significantly increased (P <0.01). Conclusion The expression of CD25 and HLA-DR in peripheral blood and synovial fluid lymphocytes are increased, which play an important role in the pathogenesis of RA.
