Hydrogen transfer reaction catalyzed by transition metal complexes has been studiedWidely. The unsaturated alcohols can be isomerized to aldehydes or ketones by intra-molecular hydrogen transfer reaction. R~1R~2C=CHCH(OH)R~3R~1R~2CHCH_2COR~3In this reaction, hydrogenation of olefins and the oxidation of alcohols can be carried out sim-ultaneously under mild conditions without the addition of any other, therefore, thisreaction has useful applications in organic synthesis.
