美国当地事件2013年4月15日(北京时间4月16日)波士顿马拉松现场发生爆炸。爆炸发生后,有关该事件的信息迅速在twitter、facebook上迅速传播,信息呈爆炸式增长。在这次突发事件中,社交网络等新媒体无疑再次冲在了信息发布传播的前沿,为此次事件发布信息、寻找受伤者等起到了传统媒体无法取代的作用。但同时,社交媒体等大范围的信息爆炸式的传播也在一定程度上渲染了一种环境氛围,而这种氛围在很大程度上可以影响置身其中且由于事件的突发性质,而难以理性思考的群体,从而产生一种集体情绪的极化。本文以此次波士顿爆炸案中信息在社交媒体中的传播为例分析,从而总结出社交媒体在突发事件信息传播过程中的作用特点。
