Extrusion is a kind of metal deformation process in the state of compressive stress, it can be processed with a large reduction of area, and is suitable for the production of various extrusion products. However, in the conventional extrusion method, each blank is squeezed to remove the excess pressure, and then the new blank is placed in the extrusion barrel so that there is a disadvantage of increasing the non-productive time in the middle of the operation. In response to this, in recent years, attempts have been made to improve the productivity by continuously supplying billet, and various continuous extrusion methods have been proposed.
