大冶铁矿地处鄂东南,是一个拥有105年开采历史、露采地采并举的大型多金属选别矿山,现有职工9736名,占地17041亩。从1958年大规模开采以来,已形成了4964亩的废石场。全矿区可绿化面积43.39万平方米,已绿化42.11万平方米,占97％;应复垦面积398万平方米,已绿化复垦88.7万平方米,占22.3％。该矿先后被冶金部、湖北省、黄石市和武钢集团公司授予“清洁无害工厂”、“省级文明单位”、绿化复垦先进单位”和“花园式工厂”等荣誉称号。其作法是:
Daye Iron Mine is located in southeastern Hubei Province. It is a large-scale polymetallic mined mine with 105 years of mining history and open mining. The company now employs 9,736 workers and covers an area of 17,041 mu. Since the large-scale mining in 1958, 4964 mu of waste rock fields have been formed. The whole mining area can be greening an area of 433,900 square meters, greening 421,100 square meters, accounting for 97%; reclamation area of 3980000 square meters, has green reclamation of 887000 square meters, accounting for 22.3%. The mine was awarded the honorary title of “Clean and Harmless Factory”, “Provincial Civilized Unit”, Advanced Unit of Green Reclamation and “Garden Plant” by Ministry of Metallurgy, Ministry of Metallurgy, Hubei Province, Huangshi City and WISCO Group Corporation :
