Colin McCain’s novel “Turn It, This Great World” presents a multidimensional narrative space with a petal-shaped structure, with the theme of “connection and communication”. In the meantime, all living beings in New York City live alone and indomitable struggle in New York City space is the threshold of the enemy’s state of characterization space, all convey the longing for exchange, seeking salvation appeal. In addition, the brief “blend” triggered by the tightrope landscape and the association of lost mothers constitute community redemption space. Different spaces finally converge to express the author’s vision of cosmopolitanism based on empathy, surpassing all boundaries, healing wounds, confronting predicament, and realizing communication and redemption.
