对服用参胡胶囊和阳性对照药降糖灵的非胰岛素依赖型糖尿病患者及健康人的血浆睾酮含量 (T)和雌二醇含量 (E2 )及相关的生物化学指标作了研究 .实验结果证实 ,男性糖尿病患者血浆雌二醇含量均高于正常组 ,睾酮含量均低于正常组 ,E2 /T比值高于正常组 ,而女性患者雌二醇含量及E2 /T比值均明显低于正常组 ,睾酮含量则明显高于正常组 ;服用参胡胶囊后 ,男性患者雌二醇含量和E2 /T比值均明显降低 ,睾酮含量则明显增高 ;女性患者睾酮含量明显降低 ,E2 /T比值明显升高 .服用降糖灵后 ,血浆睾酮和雌二醇含量与服药前没有明显改变 .提示 ,参胡胶囊治疗老年性糖尿病的机制是与其改善患者体内性激素的分泌状态相关 .
