市场经济在我国的确立，给图书情报工作提出了新的挑战。本文从分析信息服务业的基本含义入手，剖析了图书情报工作中的信息特证。文章着重阐述了图书情报界开展信息服务业的五种类型，并且指出了在开展信息服务业的过程中，必须正确认识和解决的四个问题。
