已知肿瘤容积大小可影响宿主的代谢状况,但容积大小与代谢损害程度之间的确切关系不详。作者对85例癌肿病人采用持续输注稳定的和同位素标记物以及间接测热法测定其纯蛋白分解代谢(NPC)。肿瘤的大小可由切除标本上直接测量,假定1 cm~3的肿瘤组织重1 g,转移灶的的容积则由 CT 扫描图像或 B超扫描上算出。实验工作主要是注射同位素和收集血标本。每一次研究使用多种示踪剂,但不采用同一个同位素标记。在恒定输入 6-~3H 葡萄糖的情况下,全组病人均测定血浆葡萄糖的出现率和清除率。33例在恒定输注~(14)C-尿素后测定 NPC 率,在其余52例还测定了血浆蛋白氧化以及葡萄糖至乳酸盐循环的速率。
The size of the tumor is known to affect the metabolic status of the host, but the exact relationship between the size of the volume and the degree of metabolic damage is unknown. The author of 85 cases of cancer patients using continuous infusion of stable and isotope markers and indirect calorimetry measured pure protein catabolism (NPC). The size of the tumor can be measured directly on the resected specimen. Assuming 1 cm ~ 3 of the tumor weight is 1 g, the volume of the metastatic tumor is calculated from the CT scan or B-scan. Experimental work is mainly the injection of isotopes and collection of blood samples. Multiple tracers were used for each study, but the same isotope was not used. In the case of constant input of 6- to 3-H glucose, the plasma glucose level and the rate of clearance of all patients were measured. Of the 33 patients, the NPC rate was measured after constant infusion of ~ (14) C-urea and in the remaining 52 patients the plasma protein oxidation and glucose to lactate cycling rates were also determined.
